About Us

Molison Farmer – Writer and Creator

Molison is a writer and creator who has worked in Theatre Development, Theatre for Young Audiences, and Intergenerational Theatre in Toronto, Vancouver Island, Halifax, and Tamil Nadu. Her theatre show TRUNK! toured three provinces and was awarded the Hot Ticket Award at the Halifax Fringe and the Pick of the Fringe: Family Fest in the Victoria Fringe. In 2018 she co-produced the feature film Shark Week, which was selected for Seattle’s Local Sightings Film Festival, the Boston Underground Film Festival, the Brussels Underground Film Festival, and was awarded Best Narrative Feature Film at the Toronto Art House Film Festival. Other recent projects include: Gremlin Hour, a children’s comedy about mental health which premiered at the 2019 Toronto Fringe Festival; Alien Puberty Project, a YouTube webseries; and DIY Audiobook, an original video for Bibliovideo featuring videos submitted by kids across Canada during the COVID-19 pandemic. Molison holds a BFA in Theatre and English from the University of Victoria and recently graduated from the Children’s Media Graduate Certificate program at Centennial College.

Mirka Loiselle – Illustrator

Mirka Loiselle is a visual artist, illustrator, and arts educator for children & youth. She works primarily in drawing media including pen and ink, watercolour, and digital illustration. As an emerging artist with VIBE Arts in Toronto, her work has been featured in Ossington Subway Station and at the Scarborough Civic Centre for Nuit Blanche. Recent community art projects include a Storybook Illustration program at Evelyne Gregory Public Library, and a series of playground murals created for and with students at Roselands Public School. She teaches a bilingual after-school art program with SkyBlue Studio, and has begun offering a range of workshops and classes online.
